The Expectant Parent Class is offered to pregnant women and their support person.
Topics covered include: 
- Changes occurring during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Nutrition
- Fetal Development
- Minimizing discomforts of pregnancy
- Relaxation and breathing techniques
- Early newborn care
- Breastfeeding
- Postpartum

Class Schedule
Classes consist of group discussions, activities, demonstrations, and films.
Class Schedule:
Prenatal class meets all day one Saturday in the months of March, July, September, and November from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
How to Enroll:
Enroll for classes early in your pregnancy. To register call Lafayette County Health Department at 660-259-4371. All classes are held in the LCHD basement meeting room. The entrance is at the rear of the building.
Cost:
The registration fee is $25 to help cover costs, but it is not meant to hinder anyone from attending.
All services are provided on a non-discriminatory basis.
